CTCR is a full-time dedicated research facility run by three family practice physicians. This site has been open since 1999, although our physicians have been participating in clinical research since 1990.

CTCR prides itself on providing detailed work in a timely and professional manner while maintaining a good relationship and rapport with our study monitors, sponsors and CRO companies. CTCR has experienced full time staff and physicians who provide good patient care while acting as strong patient advocates. CTCR is very interested in expanding our areas of clinical research.

CTCR has a broad patient base with a wide variety of therapeutic areas studied. Most of our trials have met and many have exceeded the target enrollment numbers.

CTCR offers outpatient clinical trials in a private, accessible, and centrally located office. We seek to provide a comfortable experience for research patients in a smaller setting while still offering top of the line care. CTCR is located in in the central Austin area, next door to St David’s, a major area hospital. We are right off the main highway, with access to covered parking garage, public transit stops in front of building, close proximity to area hotels, and are 20 minutes from Austin airport. We are also next door to our physicians’ family practice office for easy access M-F 8am-5pm.

CTCR has 2 physicians that act as Principal Investigators:

Dr. Cynthia Brinson has been conducting clinical research since 1992. Dr. Brinson is a physician for the Travis county jail, a large family practice, and a preceptor physician in an area medical school clinic. Dr. Brinson has worked with several different therapeutic areas as well as authoring/coauthoring some of her own research. She is very much a patient advocate and sustains a wonderful rapport with her patients and co-workers.

Dr. David Wright has been conducting clinical research since 1990 and is very dedicated to his patients as well as his research. Dr. Wright is a board certified family practice physician who focuses most of his time to HIV and AIDS. Dr. Wright is very well known and respected in the Austin community.

CTCR draws most patients from the physicians' private practice while also utilizing referrals, advertising, databases, and patient word of mouth.

CTCR conducts adult trials 18 years and older. All Ethnic groups are recruited. CTCR is split 50/50 on gender, and again, has a large diverse therapeutic range.


CTCR can use central IRB and Labs, our local attitudes towards research are very positive.
