Government shutdown not affecting CenterWatch Clinical Trials Listing Service

Boston, Mass., Oct. 7, 2013—As the government shutdown continues, its effects on federal agencies involved in the oversight and administration of the clinical research industry will worsen. Thousands of employees at the Food and Drug Administration, which regulates the industry, and the National Institutes of Health, which conducts clinical trials and updates—the government web site providing access to publicly and privately sponsored clinical trials—are furloughed at this time.

During the shutdown, is not being fully maintained or updated. Clinical research professionals, patients and their advocates seeking resources and access to new clinical trials can visit, which continues to update and post new clinical trials to its web site daily, including actively recruiting, industry-sponsored trials in hundreds of medical conditions worldwide.

During this tenuous time, CenterWatch remains a steady patient advocate and an essential resource for those needing clinical trials information.
