6. Check Eligibility

Each study's protocol has some set of guidelines for who can or cannot participate in the study. These guidelines are called eligibility criteria and describe some set of characteristics that must be shared by all participants. The criteria differ from study to study. They may include age, gender, medical history, and current health status etc.

6.1 Check Eligiblity

6.1.1 Eligibility Lite

Steps to check eligibility

  • Initially, the prescreener appears to be collapsed. Click on the "Read more" link to expand the section.

  • The user can either "check eligibility" or click on "Skip this" link.

  • If the user clicks on the "check eligibility" button, there will be responses displayed against each question.

  • Choose response against each question present within the inclusion and exclusion criteria.
  • Click on the "Check my eligibility" button.

  • A confirmation message appears based on whether the user is eligible/not eligible or inconclusive (Not sure).

  • Click 'clear my responses' to check the eligibility again.

  • If the user is ineligible, he/she can sign up as a volunteer and will be notified in future incase of similar trials.

  • Click 'clear my responses' to check the eligibility again.

  • In case the user is found to be inconclusive, the study team can be contacted for more information.
  • The user is provided with the option to clear the responses to the eligibility again.

  • In case of eligibility lite, the user can contact the site without going through the prescreener.
