The CAMC Clinical Trials Center is committed to providing patients in West Virginia with access to leading-edge research studies while ensuring compassionate care that expands medical knowledge. Our mission is to provide the best care to every study participant. Clinical trial research is vital to the advancement of medical treatment and elimination of illnesses throughout the world. The Clinical Trials Center is dedicated to full-time research and has conducted clinical research trials for more than 30 years.
We are interested in conducting research that will benefit the people of West Virginia. The application of what we learn from research is vital to the improvement of the health, quality of service and patient care throughout West Virginia. CAMC is dedicated to providing the latest in new therapies and applications. As professionals in a growing research testing center, we make our facilities and resources available for clinical research studies.
Through research, education, intervention and health promotion, we can change lives and improve the health of the people we serve. Services performed by the CAMC Institute for Academic Medicine Clinical Trials Center are multifaceted, improving health care opportunities for CAMC professionals and patients. Research projects support CAMC’s focus on health promotion and disease prevention.
At the Clinical Trials Center, we pride ourselves on innovative medical research that is expanding the boundaries of biomedical knowledge.
Our trained staff conducts industry-sponsored clinical trial research in both devices (IDE, PMA and HUD) and drugs (phases 2 through 4) in a wide range of therapeutic areas. This provides area residents local access to services associated with these products without the need to travel outside West Virginia.

- Access and experience with all specialized equipment due to inclusion of largest health system in state.

We utilize a central IRB and have access to local IRB on-site if needed, too.
