PharmaDUX Clinical Medical Research's mission is to provide personalized, high-quality research for our sponsors with a team that believes in working to improve the healthcare of our patients through clinical research. PharmaDUX Clinical Medical Research is a phase 2, 3 and 4 clinical research unit with state-of-the-art professional equipment. The facility is fully equipped to conduct outpatient clinical trials. Our experienced staff is committed to providing excellent services and working together with our sponsors through all assigned clinical studies in different specialties.
The town of Medley, Fla., is conveniently located and accessible to all types of transportation resources. The Miami International Airport is three miles southeast and the Opa-locka Airport/ Metro-Dade General Aviation facility is six miles northeast. Nearby major roadways are the Homestead extension of the Florida Turnpike, the Palmetto Expressway, U.S. Route 27 and the Northwest 74th St. connector to and from Hialeah, Fla.
PharmaDux is primarily an outpatient facility that includes: -20-degree freezer for sample storage; -20-degree freezer for drug storage; two 8-degree refrigerators; refrigerated centrifuge; blood pressure and temperature devices; and an Eli-250 ECG machine. The facility features examination rooms, a double-locked, secure and restricted drug storage room, a CLIA-waived laboratory, an emergency crash cart on site, monitoring rooms and a conference room.
Miguel A. Oyarzun, MD, Medical Director, Principal Investigator
Dr. Oyarzun has more than 40 years of experience providing medical care for the adult and geriatric populations. He is an internal medicine specialist currently working in a private medical practice and is affiliated with multiple hospitals and institutions specialized in the management and prevention of acute and chronic diseases. He is director of the Medical Performance Committee at Larkin Community Hospital’s Palm Spring Campus and a principle investigator fully knowledgeable of GCP and FDA regulations.
PharmaDux uses a central IRB.
Male and female populations 18 and older with a variety of disease and conditions, including Type 1 and 2 diabetes, cardiovascular, geriatrics, GI, psychiatric, respiratory, COVID-19, hepatic and renal impairment, NASH.
