MOORE Clinical Research, Inc. is a privately owned and operated research organization founded in 2006 with three convenient locations around Tampa Bay. We are here to answer your questions and help volunteers get involved in clinical trials. Participation in a clinical trial allows patients to play a more active role in their own health care, gain access to new research treatments before they are widely available, and help others by contributing to medical research.

JULIAN MELAMED, MD

Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, Dr Melamed is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Allergy and Clinical Immunology and has over thirty years of clinical experience. His research experience began in 1984, completing numerous clinical trials as a Principal Investigator for allergy and asthma related studies. He holds a medical degree from the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa and went on to become an instructor and professor at Harvard Medical School. Dr Melamed worked in private practice in the Boston area for almost thirty years before relocating to the Tampa area in 2016. Currently, he serves a clinical investigator, primarily at our North Tampa clinic, working closely with our subjects and staff in the completion of our clinical trials.
SCOTT MILLER, MD

Dr Miller is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Disease. He is originally from West Virginia where he received his medical degree from the West Virginia University School of Medicine, then his cardiovascular fellowship from Marshall University. Dr Miller worked in private practice and interventional cardiology he participated in clinical trials as an investigator for myocardial infarction and angina indications. After twenty five years of providing medical care and treatment to the residents of Charleston, West Virginia, he relocated to the Tampa Bay area in 2016. Currently, Dr Miller serves as clinical investigator, working primarily at our South Tampa clinic, providing quality patient care and responsible research services.
GEORGE MONLUX JR, MD

Dr Monlux is Board Certified in Family Medicine. He began his medical career as an Army General Medical Officer where he obtained the rank of Major, after receiving his medical degree from the University of Washington, School of Medicine. Dr Monlux has a vast knowledge in a variety of medical areas, having served as a General Medical Officer in the Army, as well as, in family practice and emergency medicine. He has also worked as Medical Director in pain management, occupational medicine and urgent care practices. Additionally, Dr Monlux was in private practice as a primary care physician; founding the first combined urgent care and family practice in Alaska and growing his original solo practice into a multi physician group practice. Currently, Dr Monlux serves as clinical investigator, working primarily at our Brandon and Temple Terrace clinics, providing quality patient care and dependable research services.
ELIZABETH JUNEJA, RN, CCRP

A Registered Nurse with experience across the medical field working in hospitals, clinics and private practice, Liz manages and coordinates the clinical studies conducted at our South Tampa location. She works closely with our patients to ensure their safety and well-being, as well as supervising the staff in all aspects of each study assuring attention to detail, accuracy and adherence to protocol. Liz is bilingual in English and Spanish allowing us the ability to serve a much larger group of patient participants. Liz is a Certified Clinical Research Professional.

Judy has over twenty years of research experience, participating in over 100 Phase I-IV clinical trials. Judy has held positions such as Research Assistant, Screening Supervisor, Site Coordinator and Senior Site Coordinator. Judy’s wealth of research experience helps support the daily operations within our Brandon Clinic. She effectively supports our clinical investigators and is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator and Certified Clinical Research Professional.
THERESA LOPEZ, CCMA, CCRP

Theresa, a Certified Clinical Research Professional and Certified Medical Assistant, assists the Site Manager in the daily operations at our South Tampa Clinic in all clinical research coordinator functions and responsibilities as well as working with Sponsors, study monitors and auditors. She supervises the clinical research team and supports our clinical investigators in the study protocols we participate in with a strong focus on the safety and well-being of our patients.
RICHARD CORONA, BA, CCRP

Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Gerontology from the University of South Florida and has worked in the research industry since 2014. He has previously held positions as a Med-Tech and Research Assistant and is currently supporting and coordinating research activities at our South Tampa Clinic where he works closely with our clinical investigators in ensuring high quality research documentation and completion of protocol related events. Richard is fluent in English and Spanish.
