Overview
Coastal Clinical Research (CCR) is a dedicated, independently owned, multispecialty clinical research center located in Mobile, Ala. Founded in 1987, CCR is committed to providing the highest quality phase 2 to 4 clinical research services to the pharmaceutical industry.

Facility Description
CCR is housed in a 7,800-square foot, modern facility with on-site laboratory capabilities. CCR maintains a computerized study management tracking system and is experienced in remote data entry. CCR has dedicated monitor space with online, telephone and fax access.

Staff Expertise
CCR has seven full-time coordinators with more than 50 years of combined research experience. CCR's staff includes coordinators, coordinator assistants, a full-time patient recruiter, full-time RMA lab personnel with phlebotomy and FAA certificates, a regulatory specialist with 17 years of experience, a full-time marketing specialist, a transcriptionist, a financial officer and administrative/operational staff.
Patient Demographics
Mobile is located in southwest Alabama at the head of Mobile Bay, 31 miles from the Gulf of Mexico. It is the second largest metropolitan area in Alabama and the state's major port. Our community in the Mobile Bay area is comprised of Mobile County, the City of Mobile and Baldwin County, with more than 1,355,828 residents. Having a unique geographical location on the Gulf Coast, CCR is also able to recruit volunteers from the Mississippi and Florida.
Patient recruitment is typically achieved by investigator/physician referrals, our database and the marketing department’s collaboration with all local media for advertising.
Our ethnic background consists of 60 percent Caucasian, 30 percent African American and 10 percent other with a gender breakdown of 48 percent male and 52 percent female.
