Overview
Rainier Clinical Research Center (RCRC) is a privately-owned, independent research clinic for phase 1 to 4 clinical trials of both drugs and devices. We are located in the greater Seattle area. Since our establishment in 1991, RCRC has successfully conducted more than 600 research studies with a primary focus on metabolic disorders such as diabetes, diabetes complications, obesity and lipids. We also partner with other successful principal investigators in the areas of cardiology and ophthalmology. The addition of our phase 1, 11-bed clinic gives us the capability to conduct early development/phase 1 studies requiring extended clinic stays and inpatient visits, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies, and insulin-glucose clamp studies. Our medical directors are board certified in endocrinology and metabolism and internal medicine. Our directors have more than 30 years of clinical trial experience and hold clinical faculty positions at the University of Washington Medical School.
Our mission is to provide an efficient, safe and professional environment for our study participants and accurate, uncompromised quality of data for our study sponsors.
We pride ourselves on our ability to provide quick study start-up and approval and rapid patient enrollment. With more than 30 years of conducting clinical trials, we have built up a database of more than 15,000 individuals who have either participated in studies or have interest in participating in studies. We continually add new subjects to the database over a wide variety of therapeutic areas.
