Urology Group of New Mexico (UGNM) is a specialty urology practice with an active clinical studies department, which is called AccumetRx Clinical Research (AccumetRx). We partner with several other specialty practices for clinical studies, including general practice, internal medicine, and pulmonology/asthma practices. We collaborate with other clinical sites to provide a uniquely diverse population.
AccumetRx participates in Phase II - IV studies. For more than 20 years AccumetRx has participated in clinical studies focused on prostate, renal, and bladder cancer, BPH, incontinence, overactive bladder, constipation, prostatitis, premature ejaculation, erectile dysfunction, hypoactive sex drive, interstitial cystitis, kidney stones, nocturia, renal cell carcinoma, urinary incontinence, and abnormal testosterone levels.
We have over 35 pharmaceutical, CRO, and SMO customers.
AccumetRx is co-located with UGNM on Montgomery Blvd close to Interstate-25 and is 15 minutes from the Albuquerque International Airport. The office is on the ground floor, is handicap accessible, and has plenty of available parking.
The patient waiting room can comfortably seat eleven people, which is plenty of space to accommodate both clinic and research patients.
AccumetRx has the following facilities and equipment:
AccumetRx uses local services for X-ray, MRI, and CT scans. Typically we use study-designated-laboratories and have local lab services as well
Study drug/Investigation Product is stored in a controlled environment in a locked closet. In the locked closet, there is also a refrigerator and freezer available for blood serum storage. Our freezer is capable of maintaining a temperature of -40 degrees Fahrenheit. The freezers have alarms to warn staff of malfunction.
The principal investigator and owner of Urology Group of New Mexico and AccumetRx is Dr. Frederick Snoy, MD. Dr. Snoy is an Urologist certified by the American Board of Urology. Originally from Indianapolis, Dr. Snoy has been living in New Mexico since 1980 and has been in private practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico since 1985. Dr. Snoy is a general urologist, and has special interest in oncology, particularly prostate cancer, as well as stones, incontinence, and impotence. Being the owner of both Urology Group of New Mexico and AccumetRx Research, Dr. Snoy is able to offer clinical study involvement to his patients. This provides patients with an opportunity to try novel medications and treatments that may not yet be available to the general public.
Through his involvement in clinical studies, Dr. Snoy has helped pass many medications through the FDA approval process, and thus aiding in the advancement of medicine and making new medications available to the public.
Jeremiah Kelly, MD, is a sub-investigator has over 30 years of research experience. Dr. Kelly is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, and holds certificates in Geriatric Medicine and Clinical Pharmacology. Dr. Kelly obtained his medical degree from Loyola University, Stritch School of Medicine.
