Care Access Research, Warwick is an independent research center specializing in Phase II – IV clinical trials. We are integrated with the private practice of our investigators and are conveniently located in the heart of Warwick, where we serve a population of over 82,000 people. With the ability to treat a broad range of conditions, we continue in our mission to make clinical trials an accessible care option for all patients.
Our dedicated research staff has over 30 combined years of research experience. Our clinical trial experience includes Type 1 Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, and Diabetic Neuropathy. Additional areas of interest include but are not limited to Hypertension, Hypercholesterolemia, and Albuminuria.
We offer convenient outpatient facilities with on-site blood draws and IV infusion capabilities, ECG, and sample processing. Our waiting area is spacious and comfortable providing reading materials, snacks, and beverages for our patients and visitors.
Our dedicated research space includes a dedicated exam room and a locked, temperature monitored ambient, refrigerated, and frozen IP storage area. The facility maintains a locked study document storage area as well as a comfortable monitoring area with access to telephone, copier, fax, and high speed internet connection.
Dedicated research equipment includes a centrifuge, -20oF locked freezer, locked refrigerator, locked drug storage cabinet, ECG machine, back-up power with power outage alarm, blood pressure and vitals unit, and calibrated scale.
In addition to our research team, our site maintains relationships with local radiologists, cardiologists, and other specialists.
Sudhir Bansal, MD, Principal Investigator: Dr. Bansal has been in clinical practice for over 47 years specializing in endocrinology, metabolism, and internal medicine. Consistently recognized for his recruitment and enrollment achievements, Dr. Bansal enjoys having the ability to provide research as a care option to his patients.
Tej Bansal, MD, Sub-Investigator: Dr. Tej Bansal specializes in family medicine with over 45 years experience in clinical practice. She works alongside Dr. Bansal to provide high quality care to their research patients.
Melissa Cooley, Clinical Research Coordinator: Melissa is an experienced clinical research coordinator having completed over 20 clinical trials. She has been recognized by sponsors as a top enroller and helps Dr. Bansal conduct all clinical trials at the site.
Dr. Bansal is well respected in the community with a long-standing reputation of providing high quality care to his patients. Our site has a large patient database and ability to gain referrals from other physicians within our medical building and surrounding area. Additionally, we maintain relationships with local hospitals, and other specialists, helping us to maintain a large recruitment potential.
We have dedicated support staff for budget and contract negotiations, regulatory submissions to central IRB’s, patient recruitment, equipment management, and IT support. We benefit from the additional capabilities provided by the Care Access Research national network of sites.
