JEFFREY A. HIRSCHFIELD, MD CPI - President & Medical Director
Dr. Hirschfield is a board-certified specialist pediatrician. He received his BS degree in neurobiological sciences with high honors from the University of Florida and earned his MD degree from the University of South Florida, College of Medicine. He completed his pediatric residency at All children’s Hospital in Saint Petersburg. He established his private practice and clinical research facility in Saint Petersburg in 1998 and serves as medical director and principal investigator of clinical trials. He is the founder and president of Score Physician Alliance (SPA) which comprises of clinical research experts conducting clinical trials within a broad array of specialties. Score’s doctrine is based on total integration of clinical medicine. Dr. Hirschfield provided consulting services to the clinical trials industry. He formerly served as Director of Pediatric Medical Affairs for Optimal Research. Dr. Hirschfield is considered a leading authority in his field of pediatric and adolescent medicine. He has a lifelong contribution to the medical field and manages Score Physician Alliance. As a pediatrician he is affiliated with Johns Hopkins Medicine /All Children’s Hospital and Bayfront Medical Center. He continues to serve his community by providing his leadership as a member of the advisory board for the United Healthcare Children Foundation, Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians and Investigators, Novartis Research and Development Advisory Committee on Vaccines, American Academy of Pediatrics, Johns Hopkins Medicine / All Children’s Hospital Education Committee, and the Pinellas County Medical Association. In addition he currently holds a special role as Consulting Pediatrician and Disability evaluator for the State of Florida. Dr. Hirschfield currently holds multiple appointments as Assistant Clinical Professor at University of South Florida College of Nursing, Assistant Clinical Professor at University of Tampa Nurse Practitioner Program and as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at University of South Florida Department of Pediatrics and Nursing.
JULIE A. HIRSCHFIELD, B.A. - Vice-President, Corporate Development, Clinical Research Coordinator
Julie has been a tremendous patient advocate and research educator for Score trials. She received her B.A. degree in elementary education at the University of South Florida. Her fine interpersonal skills is evident in her daily work. She is focused on the general operations of Score physician-lead network. In addition, she is director for Score's infant nutrition programs. She is trained in the storage of biochemical waste, GCP, OSHA, HIPPAA and certified in IATA and CPR.
KRISTINE COLLINS - Clinical Research Coordinator
Kristine is a fine complement to the Score study staff and our patients. She supports both Dr. Hirschfield’s pediatric practice and is involved in the start up and regulatory activities for our clinical trials. In addition, she keeps our patients’ schedules organized and communicates between personnel and patient requests.
All research sites are able to utilize Central IRB's.
