Advancing medicine one clinical research study at a time! Tampa based Clinical Research of West Florida, Inc. (CRWF) is an independent, dedicated, multi-therapeutic clinical research site. CRWF has over 20 years of experience providing residents of the Tampa Bay area with access to new treatments and therapeutic treatment options through clinical research. Our studies are conducted by board certified/eligible physicians alongside our highly trained clinical staff.
CRWF consistently meets and exceeds study start up and recruitment timelines. The CRWF clinical team is driven to provide excellence in patient care. This passion translates into high rates of retention and quality data collection. The CRWF clinical team is supported by a Recruitment Manager, Laboratory Manager, EDC Manager, Regulatory Manager, and New Business Director.
We have worked with both large and small pharmaceutical companies conducting Phase I-IV studies. Clinical Research of West Florida's 4,2000 sq foot Tampa office is in the heart of Tampa Bay, fifteen minutes from Tampa International Airport.
All study coordinators are trained and/or certified in GCP/ICH compliance, CRC role and responsibilities, Human Subject Protection, HAZMAT (shipping and handling of dangerous goods) and CPR.

Paul Lunseth, MD has practiced medicine in Tampa Bay for over 40 years. After retiring from an active private practice, Dr. Lunseth continues his love of learning and providing patient care through his involvement with CRWF and USF Health Orthopaedics and Physical Therapy.
Prior to coming to Tampa, Dr. Lunseth obtained his BA Degree from St. Olaf College and his BS and MD Degrees from University of Minnesota. His clinical education continued with an Internship at Hennipen County General Hospital and a Fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Hand Surgery & Sorts Medicine.
Dr. Lunseth served three years in the United States Air Force and was an active reserve for an additional 23 years with USAF and SOCOM. He is a Diplomat of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and a Member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery and the American Society for Surgery of the Hand
Lon Lynn, DO has been practicing Family Practice medicine for over 30 years in the Tampa Bay area. He is a member of the Hillsborough County Osteopathic Medical Society, Hillsborough County Medical Society, the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. In addition, he serves as an Associate Clinical Professor at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Lynn has been working with CRWF since 2005 and has extensive experience with conducting various protocols in a multitude of therapeutic areas.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Lynn has devoted significant energies and time to assist the indigent peoples in the Caribbean islands. He has established a medical travel program through which he shares his time and experience to assist other physicians in the field of tropical medicine.
Patient recruitment is driven by the CRWF patient database, investigator(s)’ private practice patients, and other non-investigator physician referrals. CRWF also utilized social media and various digital media platforms. In 2019 CRWF formed a strategic partnership with ClinicGrower, a leading healthcare marketing agency to further solidify CRWF’s commitment to innovation an growth in patient identification.
There are more than 2 million people living in the Tampa Bay area. The population is ethnically diverse and the median age is 44 years for Pinellas County and 36 years for Hillsborough County.
