Immune Disorder HSCT Protocol

This study hypothesizes that a reduced intensity immunosuppressive preparative regimen will establish engraftment of donor hematopoietic cells with acceptable early and delayed toxicity in patients with immune function disorders. A regimen that maximizes host immune suppression is expected to reduce graft rejection and optimize donor cell engraftment.

Autologous Ex Vivo Expanded Regulatory T Cells in Ulcerative Colitis

Together with Crohn's disease (CD), ulcerative colitis (UC) is one of the major forms of inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD).Currently, no curative therapy is available, since the pathophysiology of this disease is incompletely understood (1-3) and clinical practice demonstrates that current therapies induce remission in subgroups of patients only. Scientific evidence …

Alpha/Beta T and CD19+ Depleted Peripheral Stem Cells for Patients With Primary Immunodeficiencies

This is a Phase II trial to determine the ability of a reduced intensity conditioning regimen to allow successful engraftment with alpha/beta T and CD19+ depleted peripheral stem cell grafts from unrelated or partially matched related donors. There are two conditioning regimens depending upon patient diagnosis and age.

Ketogenic Diet for Psychotic Disorders

Disturbances in glucose metabolism and glutamate neurotransmission feature in the pathophysiology of psychotic disorders. Ketogenic diet (KD) is a high-fat, low-carbohydrate diet that restricts glucose and forces metabolism of ketones, which serve as alternative energy substrates for the brain. KD is an established treatment for intractable epilepsy. However, we lack …
