Motor Learning After Cerebellar Damage: The Role of the Primary Motor Cortex

This study will determine (1) whether baseline inhibitory activity in the primary motor cortex can predict motor learning ability in individuals with cerebellar degeneration, and (2) whether modulating primary motor cortex activity with non-invasive brain stimulation alters motor learning ability in this population.

Repeated Oscillatory TMS Therapy of the Epileptogenic Cortical Area in Children With Focal CSWS

The investigators are investigating the effectiveness of a wearable multisite transcranial magnetic stimulation (mTMS) device that can deliver stimuli at multiple cortical sites simultaneously or sequentially for the treatment of an epileptic syndrome - focal continuous-spike and wave during sleep.

MotIoN aDaptive Deep Brain Stimulation for MSA (MINDS)

Patients routinely undergo deep brain stimulation (DBS) for treatment of symptoms related to neurodegenerative conditions, most commonly Parkinson's disease. In the Investigator's experience, and published evidence shows, that stimulation has effects on the autonomic nervous system. In patients undergoing therapeutic DBS for a particular subtype of Parkinsonism (Multiple System Atrophy), …

DBS of Posterior Subthalamic Area (PSA) and Ventral Intermediate Nucleus (VIM) in Essential Tremor (ET)

Deep brain stimulation (DBS) of the ventral intermediate nucleus of the thalamus (VIM) is an FDA approved treatment for medication refractory essential tremor (ET). However, VIM stimulation can be associated with impacts on speech and balance. There is also suggestion that there may be habituation to stimulation in more than …

Transcranial Ultrasound Therapy of Essential Tremor

Context. Essential tremor (ET) is a common disease, disabling in severe forms and resistant to drug treatment. In patients with severe ET, invasive neurosurgical technique such as deep brain stimulation of the Ventral Intermediate (VIM) nucleus of the thalamus is used. Focused ultrasound therapy, creating a small lesion of VIM …

Phase 1/2a Clinical Trial of PR001A in Patients With Parkinson's Disease With at Least One GBA1 Mutation (PROPEL)

The study PRV-PD101 is evaluating a potentially disease-modifying, single-dose gene therapy for patients with Parkinson’s disease with GBA1 mutations (PD-GBA). PD-GBA is driven by mutations in the gene GBA1. This gene contains the instructions for making the lysosomal enzyme beta-glucocerebrosidase, or GCase, which is needed for the disposal and recycling of glycolipids — a type …

A Cross-Sectional Study to Evaluate the Correlation Between Oculometric Measures and MDS-UPDRS in Patients With Idiopathic Parkinson's Disease (PD) and Evaluation of Oculometric Measures in Healthy Participants

This is a prospective study in a cohort of about 500 patients with Idiopathic Parkinson's disease, examined routinely in the neurological outpatient clinic. This study aims to evaluate the correlation between oculometric measures and clinical endpoints. Subjects will be evaluated following a physician examination. The evaluations will include MDS-UPDRS examination, as …

A Phase 1, Blinded, Randomized, Placebo-controlled Study to Investigate the Safety, Tolerability, and Pharmacokinetics of Multiple Ascending Doses of BIIB132 Administered Intrathecally to Adults With Spinocerebellar Ataxia 3

The primary objective of this study is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of multiple ascending doses of BIIB132 administered via intrathecal (IT) injection to participants with spinocerebellar ataxia type 3 (SCA3). The secondary objective of this study is to characterize the multiple-dose pharmacokinetics (PK) of BIIB132 administered via IT …
