Comparison Study of 3-4-screws-internal Fixation With Multi-screw-system Targon FN for Femoral Neck Fracture

The purpose of this study is to compare between two methods of internal fixation, the 3-4 parallel screws or the Targon FN implant in gardens type 1-2 or Pauwels type 1-2 femoral neck fractures in terms of the outcomes and complications associated with the treatment of these fractures.

Hips Screws or (Total) Hip Replacement for Undisplaced Femoral Neck Fractures in Elderly Patients (HipSTHeR)

A registerbased RCT will investigate whether arthroplasty can decrease the reoperation rate compared to internal fixation for patients with an undisplaced femoral neck fracture (Garden I-II).

Dual Mobility Cups in Hip Fracture Patients

Our aim is to develop a strategy that reduces the risk of dislocations after total hip arthroplasty surgery performed due to femoral neck fracture. We therefore perform a register-nested, pragmatic, randomized controlled trial to investigate the safety and efficacy of dual mobility cups that were designed to minimize the risk …

Evaluation of Surgical Fixation Using Alternative Implants for the Treatment of Hip Fractures

The primary purpose of this study is to assess the impact of sliding hip screws versus cannulated screw fixation on rates of revision surgery at 2 years in individuals over 50 years of age with femoral neck fractures. The secondary objective of the study is to determine the impact of …

A Comparison of Two Different Surgical Techniques in Hip Resurfacing Arthroplasty

The purpose of the study is to compare two different surgical techniques in hip resurfacing arthroplasty (RHA), comparing bloodflow and metabolism in the femoral head, as well as implant migration, periprosthetic bone mineral density, gait function and patient recovery.

Direct Anterior vs. Anterolateral Approach for Hip Arthroplasty After Femoral Neck Fracture in the Senior Population

Displaced femoral neck fractures are one group of hip fracture patients that are commonly treated with cemented hemiarthroplasty (HA) or total hip arthroplasty (THA). In the elective hip arthroplasty population, the direct anterior approach (DAA) has shown to be effective in helping patients to quickly obtain high postoperative function. This …

Direct Anterior Approach for Femoral Neck Fractures

The primary objective is to examine if in patients with a dislocated femoral neck fracture who receive a total hip arthroplasty, direct anterior approach will give a better result in terms of mobilization, function and pain in the first weeks and months postoperatively, than direct lateral approach.
