Idiopathic Short Stature

Idiopathic Short Stature (ISS) is a condition where a child's height is below the normal range for their age and sex, but no underlying medical cause can be identified. ISS is typically diagnosed when a child's height falls below the 3rd percentile on growth charts. Treatment for ISS may include growth hormone therapy to help the child reach a more typical height.
