Glaucoma is an eye disease that damages the optic nerve, leading to vision loss and blindness. It is often associated with increased pressure in the eye, but can also occur with normal or low eye pressure. Treatment options include eye drops, medication, laser therapy or surgery to lower eye pressure and prevent further damage to the optic nerve.
