Hyperparathyroidism Pediatric

Hyperparathyroidism is a condition in which the parathyroid glands produce too much parathyroid hormone (PTH), leading to high levels of calcium in the blood. It can occur in children and adolescents, but is rare. Symptoms may include fatigue, weakness, bone pain, and kidney stones. Treatment may involve surgery to remove the affected parathyroid gland.
