Hiv

HIV is a virus that attacks the immune system, specifically the CD4 cells, which are crucial in fighting off infections. It is transmitted through contact with bodily fluids such as blood, semen, vaginal fluids, and breast milk. There is currently no cure for HIV, but antiretroviral therapy (ART) can suppress the virus and prevent progression to AIDS.
