RESULTS

Found (15) clinical trials

The primary purpose of this study is to to assess, by the use of long term non-invasive beat-to-beat monitoring system, the effect of BMS-919373 on the percent change from baseline relative to placebo of atrial fibrillation burden in subjects with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.

Phase

This study is being done to compare the effects of bucindolol hydrochloride (bucindolol) to metoprolol succinate (Toprol-XL) on the recurrence of symptomatic atrial fibrillation/atrial flutter in patients with heart failure who have a specific genotype for the beta-1 adrenergic receptor.

Phase

The goal of this US prospective outpatient AF registry is to identify real world treatment patterns in patients with AF(atrial fibrillation), outside of randomized controlled trials. Specifically, the registry will attempt to define current treatment patterns and their relationship with outcomes, including stroke, all-cause mortality, and quality-of-life.

Phase

A Pilot Study on Edoxaban for the Resolution of Left Atrial Thrombosis in Patients With Non-valvular Atrial Fibrillation

This is a non-controlled, open-label, 4 weeks pilot study. As the main goal of this exploratory study is the estimation of the magnitude of the Left Atrial /Left Atrial Appendage thrombus resolution with edoxaban, no control group with vitamin K antagonists has been considered, providing that, for the purpose of ...

Phase

Cardiac Surgery and the Risk of Atrial Fibrillation: an Intervention Trial Evaluating Melatonin

Atrial fibrillation is the most common arrhythmia to occur after coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery. This arrhythmia occurs in approximately 1 in every 3 patients in this setting and the rate is even higher after valve or combined valve and CABG procedures. The majority of episodes of atrial fibrillation ...

Phase

Chloroquine for Symptomatic Persistent and Longstanding Persistent AF

This is an open-label, pilot study to explore the efficacy of chloroquine in terminating persistent and longstanding persistent AF within 2 weeks of drug administration and assess its potential role as a pharmacological cardioversion agent for the management of AF. Subjects will be followed for 2 weeks from the start ...

Phase

Epicardial Fat Pads Ablation During Coronary Surgery

The aim of this prospective randomized study was to assess the efficacy of ablation of the ganglionated plexi localized in the epicardial fat pads for preventing recurrences of atrial tachyarrhythmia in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting.

Phase

RIvaroxaban for Valvular Heart diseasE and atRial Fibrillation Trial -RIVER Trial

A Phase 2, Randomized, Open label, Non-Inferiority Clinical Trial to Explore the Safety and Efficacy of Rivaroxaban compared with vitamin K antagonism in Patients with Atrial Fibrillation with Bioprosthetic Mitral valves - RIVER.

Phase

Vitamin K Supplementation in Patients on Hemodialysis

Patients on hemodialysis with atrial fibrillation are at increased risk of stroke. These patients often take warfarin to reduce this risk. Warfarin is a drug that is used to prevent clots in the bloodstream. The dose of warfarin varies from person to person, and its effect is measured using a ...

Phase

Intraoperative Amiodarone to Prevent Atrial Fibrillation in Lung Transplant Patients

Approximately 1900 transplants are performed in the US annually. Lung transplantation remains the gold standard treatment for patients with end stage lung disease. This includes patients with range of etiologies such as Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, COPD and Cystic Fibrosis. One of the more common post-operative complications in patients undergoing lung ...
