Duodenal Ulcers

Duodenal ulcers are open sores that develop in the lining of the duodenum, the first part of the small intestine. They are commonly caused by the bacterium Helicobacter pylori or long-term use of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). Symptoms may include abdominal pain, bloating, nausea, and vomiting.
