Lewy Body Dementia

Lewy Body Dementia (LBD) is a type of progressive dementia that is caused by abnormal protein deposits called Lewy bodies in the brain. It is characterized by cognitive decline, visual hallucinations, and motor symptoms such as tremors, stiffness, and difficulty with movement. LBD can also cause fluctuations in alertness and attention, sleep disorders, and autonomic dysfunction.
