RESULTS

Found (21) clinical trials

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the effect of IONIS-FB-LRx on the rate of change of the area of geographic atrophy (GA) secondary to age-related macular degeneration (AMD) measured by fundus autofluorescence (FAF).

Phase

This is a 30-month, Phase III, multicenter, randomized, double-masked, sham-injection controlled study to assess the efficacy and safety of multiple IVT injections of APL-2 in subjects with GA secondary to AMD.

Phase N/A

This is a 30-month, Phase III, multicenter, randomized, double-masked, sham-injection controlled study to assess the efficacy and safety of multiple IVT injections of APL-2 in subjects with GA secondary to AMD.

Phase

Metformin for the Minimization of Geographic Atrophy Progression in Patients With AMD

This is a phase II, single-blind, randomized, evaluation of the safety and efficacy of metformin use to decrease geographic atrophy (GA) progression in non-diabetic patients with dry Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD). Approximately 100 study subjects throughout four separate study sites will be randomized in a 1:1 ratio to the treatment ...

Phase

Sparing of the Fovea in Geographic Atrophy Progression

Dry age-related macular degeneration (AMD) is a common cause for severe visual loss in the elderly and represents an unmet need. So far no treatment is available for geographic atrophy (GA), which represents the advanced dry form characterized by expanding areas of outer retinal atrophy with corresponding absolute scotoma. The ...

Phase N/A

A Study to Assess Safety and Efficacy of Multiple Doses of IONIS-FB-LRx in Participants With Geographic Atrophy Secondary to Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD)

The study will assess the rate of change of the area of GA secondary to AMD by measuring FAF in up to 330 participants with GA due to AMD being treated with IONIS-FB-LRx. The study is a Phase 2, double-masked, randomized, stratified, placebo-controlled study conducted at multiple centers. It is ...

Phase

Phase 3 Study of ALK-001 in Geographic Atrophy

There is no treatment available for Geographic Atrophy secondary to AMD. AMD is characterized by an age-related degeneration of the retina. The root cause for this degeneration or why some people develop AMD while others do not, is unknown. Over 20 years ago, it was hypothesized that the dimerization of ...

Phase

A Study Assessing the Safety Tolerability and Efficacy of RO7171009 in Participants With Geographic Atrophy Secondary to Age-Related Macular Degeneration (AMD)

This study will evaluate the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of intravitreal injections of RO7171009 administered every 4 weeks (Q4W) or every 8 weeks (Q8W) for approximately 76 weeks in participants with geographic atrophy (GA) secondary to age-related macular degeneration (AMD) compared with sham control.

Phase

First in Human Study to Evaluate the Safety and Efficacy of GT005 Administered in Subjects With Dry AMD

This study will evaluate the safety, the dose response and efficacy (anatomical and functional visual outcomes) of two doses of GT005 administered as a single subretinal injection in genetically defined subjects with Macular Atrophy due to Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD). Following consent, subjects will undergo a number of ophthalmic and ...

Phase

Study of NGM621 in Participants With Geographic Atrophy

This is a multi-center evaluation of NGM621 in an open-label, single-dose and multiple-dose escalation study in participants with Geographic Atrophy secondary to Age-related Macular Degeneration.
