The purpose of this research study is to investigate factors that may contribute to personal growth in family caregivers of patients with dementia. Participants will be asked to complete a survey with questions related to their experience as a caregiver for their loved one, including their thinking style, family interactions, and specific psychological experiences.

Participants will be invited to fill out a survey that will include questions about their caregiver experience. Specifically, participants will be asked demographic questions (i.e., age, gender, race, ethnicity, marital status, education level, employment status, income, and family composition) as well as questions regarding their relationship to the patient, caregiving responsibilities, and the duration of time they have been providing care. Additionally, questions that may influence the caregiving experience will be asked, such as their thinking styles/patterns, family interactions, and specific psychological experiences. The survey will be administered online through SurveyMonkey, and the data collected will be analyzed using SPSS. The survey will take participants approximately 15 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey, participants will be offered an opportunity to enter a raffle for one of five $10 Amazon gift cards for completing the survey. If participants choose to enter into the raffle, a link will be presented and redirect them to a separate website (so that their responses cannot be identified with their email addresses) for them to enter their email address for entry into the raffle. The survey will be available online for a period of about 2 months, or until the number of participants identified in the power analysis are recruited.
