Achievement Studies supports a mission of empowering everyone to participate in better health outcomes. In this 6-month sponsored study, we’re interested in learning more about people with memory problems and how their lives are different from people without memory problems. Approximately 300 individuals will participate. There will be two groups: people with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or Alzheimer’s Disease (AD) and people who do not have these conditions, but are similar in age. The study is a virtual study and all study activities are completed from the comfort of your home.

How long will I be in this research?
This study has 2 parts. The first part will be completed by all participants and will take between 4 and 10 weeks, depending on how quickly you can complete the tasks. The second part of the study will only be completed by individuals who are selected to continue in the study. The second part will take about 6 months.

Why is this research being done?
The purpose of this research is to learn more about people with memory problems, including mild cognitive impairment or mild Alzheimer’s disease, and how their lives are different from people without memory problems. These differences could include differences in how people think, feel, behave, and interact with technology.

What happens to me if I agree to take part in this research?
If you decide to take part in this research study, there will be 2 parts. In part 1, you would be asked to complete a survey and a remote telehealth visit. If you are selected to participate in part 2, you will be asked to complete daily, weekly, and monthly surveys. You will also be asked to download mobile applications on your phone and wear a Fitbit device that is provided to you. You will also be asked to complete a blood draw.
