Description

The purpose of this study is to gain a better understanding of the long-term effects of concussions in aging by collecting neuropsychological data and cerebrospinal fluid markers from those who do and do not have a history of concussions. Tests assessing various thinking and psychological functions, including attention, memory, and emotional adjustment will be administered as part of the study. A lumbar puncture will also be performed to collect specimens for data analysis and are intended to provide conclusions regarding brain-protein relationships. Individuals will need to complete 2 research visits lasting 4-5 hours overall for these procedures. Your participation will add to our scientific knowledge and benefit scientists and patients in learning how concussions may interact with aging.
