A Multicenter, Randomized, Placebo-Controlled, Double-Blinded Pivotal Study to Evaluate Safety and Immunogenicity of Live-Attenuated Chikungunya Virus Vaccine Candidate in Adults Aged 18 Years and Above.

Chikungunya virus is spread to people by the bite of an infected mosquito. It can cause fever, headache, muscle pain, fatigue and joint pain. According to the Center for Disease Control, outbreaks have occurred in countries in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America and the Indian and Pacific Oceans. Much like the coronavirus, there is a risk that the chikungunya virus will be imported to new areas by infected travelers. Currently, there is no FDA-approved vaccine to prevent or medicine to treat chikungunya.
Participants must be willing to complete 6 visits at our clinical research center. Compensation up to $1025 is available for time and travel.
