Summary

This study is looking for Alzheimer’s caregivers. The study is interested in the relationship between emotions and stress.

Description

Study schedule:
-All study activities can be done from your home.

-The first study activity will take about 90 minutes over the telephone.

You will complete questionnaires, and you will do a picture rating task on your phone.

-After that, there will be 7 days of follow up in the form of brief surveys send to your phone. Each of these will take about 15 minutes.

-At the end of Week 1 and the end of Week 2, there will be more extensive questionnaires. Each of these will take about 30 minutes.

-Altogether, the total study time will be about 4 hours.

-The study will end after about two weeks.

Study activities may include:
-Talking on the telephone.

-Answering surveys and questionnaires on your phone.

-Rating how looking at pictures makes you feel.

-Answering questions about your mood and emotions.

Treatment or experiment details:
-The study is intended to determine whether thinking about emotional situations in different ways helps to manage the stress of caregiving.
