Summary

This study is looking for people who have cognitive impairment or dementia. The study is interested in whether attending dance or theatre performances improves cognitive function and/or quality of life.

Description

Study schedule:
At the start of the study:
-You will complete surveys about your cognitive function and your wellbeing.
During the study:
-You will attend at least three dance and/or theatre performances, along with your study partner. There is a social hour before and after each performance. In total, each session will require about three hours.
-You will complete a short survey during each event.
-You will have a telephone interview after each event.
-You will wear a fitness tracker for 2-3 weeks.
-You will repeat the study-start activities.
The study will end after about six months

Study activities may include:
-Completing surveys.
-Attending dance and/or theatre productions, including social hours.
-Participating in telephone interviews.
-Wearing a fitness tracker.

Treatment or experiment details:
-The study is interested whether attending performing arts shows can improve cognitive function and/or quality of life.

Additional details:
-You do not need to have a formal diagnosis of your cognitive impairment.

Do you have any of these conditions: Mild Cognitive Impairment or Dementia?
Study activities may include
