CG01-GBM Standard Chemotherapy versus Chemotherapy Chosen by Cancer Stem Cell Chemosensitivity Testing in the Management of Patients with Recurrent Glioblastoma Multiforme (GBM)

Updated on 22 December 2020
brain tumor

People who were previously diagnosed with glioblastoma (Grade IV) or Grade III glioma, and now have evidence that their tumor has come back or has started to grow again, and who would otherwise be getting surgery or a biopsy as part of their treatment may be eligible.

At the time of surgery a piece of tumor is sent to a lab where testing is done to determine the sensitivity of the tumor to various chemotherapy regimens.

People are then randomized to one of two arms and their treatment is then either determined by the treating doctor or is directed by the results of the sensitivity testing.
