Improved Long-Term Glucose Control. – New Weekly Basal Insulin Study

Brief description of study

We are currently seeking volunteers who are diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes and treating with Basal Insulin and Metformin. Volunteers can also be treating with other oral medications (please contact us to see if you qualify.) Volunteers CANNOT be taking any meal-time or bolus insulin.

This is a study of a once-weekly basal insulin being compared to Lantus (Glargine) insulin. Two-thirds of all participants will switch their basal insulin to the investigational once-weekly insulin. One third of all participants will switch to taking Lantus insulin daily. Participants will continue taking their Metformin and can choose to continue taking any other oral diabetes medications they are currently on or not.
