A Washington University research study seeks female participants, 18 – 50 years old.


Brief description of study

This study is being done to evaluate if Liletta®, an IUS (hormonal intrauterine system) is a safe and effective treatment for women with very heavy menstrual bleeding.

Participants will need to come to the clinic for 8 study visits. Study procedures will be provided at no cost, including blood tests, urine pregnancy test, vital signs, breast and pelvic exam, STD test, pap test (if needed), transvaginal or abdominal ultrasound (if needed), endometrial biopsy (if needed), IUS insertion, string check, and IUS removal (if desired).

Up to $875.00 in gift cards (Target) will be provided for time and effort (IRB ID #: 201812018).
