Summary

This study tests whether the investigational drug prevents patients with schizophrenia from becoming worse.  This study looks at how well patients tolerate the investigational drug and how effective it is over 6 months. 

All study-related visits and tests, as well as the study drug, will be provided at no cost.  In addition, reimbursement for time and study-related travel may be available.

    Inclusion Criteria

    Is your age between 18 yrs and 55 yrs?
    Gender: Male or Female
    Do you have Schizophrenia and Schizoaffective Disorders?
    Are 18 to 55 years of age
    Have been diagnosed with schizophrenia for at least 1 year
    Have been taking a stable dose of antipsychotic medication for at least 12 weeks prior to the study
