A Washington University research study seeks participants struggling with weight and mental illness.

Brief description of study

The research study is designed to test how well text messaging, in addition to one-on-one meetings with a health coach, can help an individual identify and reach his or her personal health goals (including managing weight).

There will be 5 study visits with a health coach to review health-related topics including nutrition, exercise, and barriers to meeting one’s health goals.

These visits will last about 2 hours each. Up to $100 is provided for time and effort (IRB # 201806118).
