EARLY Trial - A Clinical Trial for Those at Risk of Developing Memory Loss Due to Alzheimer's disease

Brief description of study

The purpose of this study is to evaluate whether the investigational medication, JNJ-54861911, slows cognitive decline compared with placebo (inactive treatment) in individuals with generally normal memory and thinking ability but who are at risk for developing Alzheimer's dementia.  Study qualification and whether or not a potential study participant is considered at risk will be determined by the research center as part of the study procedures. 

This is a global long term study with the goal of including 1650 participants worldwide. After the screening period, qualified study participants will visit the research center up to 26 times over up to 54 months.
