High Cholesterol and Heart Disease

Detailed Study Description

A research study is comparing the effects of an investigational combination therapy to the effects of these medications alone, and compared to placebo.

This research study may be an option if you:
  • Are at least 18 years of age
  • Are on a maximally tolerated statin therapy and have been told your LDL cholesterol is still high
  • Meet one of the following criteria:
    • Documented acute or silent heart attack (MI); coronary revascularization such as percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) or coronary artery bypass graft (CABG) surgery; stroke; unstable angina; or peripheral artery disease (PAD), OR
    • Heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia (HeFH), OR
    • Multiple cardiovascular risk factors such as diabetes and age, family history of heart disease, smoking, or high blood pressure

Qualified participants will receive all study-related care and study medication or placebo at no cost.
