Description

The purpose of this research study is to see if it is beneficial to treat high blood pressure during and after pregnancy

NYU Winthrop Hospital Clinical Trials Center is seeking pregnant participants, who are 18 years old or older and who have been diagnosed with high blood pressure to participate in a clinical research study. This study is designed to evaluate if it is safe and effective to treat high blood pressure during and after pregnancy.

Eligible participants will receive study-related investigational prenatal blood test, medical exams and laboratory tests at no cost to you. Reimbursement will also be provided for time and travel expenses.

Inclusion Criteria

To be eligible for the study, you must
be 18 years old or older
be pregnant
have blood pressure Blood Pressure greater than 140/90 on two occasions at least four hours apart prior to 20 weeks’ gestation
never received antihypertensive therapy for a diagnosis of High Blood Pressure before pregnancy
