A Washington University research study seeks participants with Parkinson’s disease.

Detailed Study Description

The purpose of the study is to determine how quickly a protein called Alpha-synuclein (a-syn) is cleared from the body in participants with Parkinson’s disease. A-syn is a major component of Parkinson’s disease. There are up to 7 study visits. Participation includes neurological/physical exam, vitals, blood draws and lumbar puncture procedures. Up to $1475 is provided for time and effort. There are no direct benefits to the participants. Risks will be discussed as part of the informed consent process (IRB ID #: 201605066).
