A research study needs adults with acute bacterial skin and skin structure infection (ABSSSI) who have not received antibacterial treatment.

Detailed Study Description

Please consider this clinical research study your colleagues are conducting. A clinical research study for skin and skin structure infections is enrolling now.

This study is a double-blind, multicenter, randomized, Phase 3 study comparing an investigational antibiotic versus linezolid for the treatment of adults with ABSSSI. This study is enrolling patients with ABSSSI who have not received antibacterial treatment.

Patients will participate in the study for approximately 30 days. Each patient will be randomly assigned to receive 7 to 14 days of treatment with either the investigational antibiotic or linezolid.

A follow-up office visit will occur approximately 7 to 14 days after the last dose of test article and a follow-up visit or telephone contact will occur approximately 30 to 37 days after the first dose of test article.
