Upper Respiratory Symptoms Research Study

Currently it is challenging to distinguish viral infections that cannot be treated with antibiotics from bacterial infections which do respond to antibiotics. Clinical Research Associates in Nashville, TN is conducting a research study to test a diagnostic device. This device is designed to identify your body's immune response to a viral and/or bacterial respiratory infection. This study is looking for participants who have symptoms of an upper respiratory infection, such as:

  • Fever of at least 100.5 within the past 3 days.
  • Sore throat.
  • Cough.

Participants will be testing the new device. The office visit will require a blood draw, finger prick, and swabbing of throat and nose.

The office visit takes less than 1 hour and compensation at time of visit is $100.
