Constipation Due to Pain Pills Research Study

Often, taking pain medications can cause constipation. Clinical Research Associates in Nashville is enrolling patients in a research study to evaluate an investigational medication for treatment of constipation due to prescription pain medicine. The study's goal is to evaluate the long-term safety and tolerability of naldemedine as compared to a placebo (inactive ingredient). The study is double-blind, meaning neither the participant nor the clinician will know which medication is being taken.

The study lasts up to 58 weeks and requires 11 office visits and 3 phone contacts. All study-related medication is provided at no charge. Compensation at study end is up to $585.
