Is your memory loss just a sign of age, or something else?

Brief description of study

Is your memory loss just a sign of age, or something else?

Detailed Study Description

Consider joining our research study for memory problems, mild Alzheimer's disease, and mild cognitive impairment.

Do you find yourself having more "senior moments" than you used to? Do you lose track of the day, or repeat questions and stories over and over? Has a doctor told you that you may have memory loss, mild cognitive impairment, or mild Alzheimer's disease? Our clinic is conducting a study to test an investigational drug for early symptoms of mild cognitive impairment or Alzheimer's disease and its effect on sleep.

You may be eligible to participate if you:

  • are 50-80 years old with memory problems
  • have mild cognitive impairment (MCI) or mild Alzheimer's disease
  • do not suffer from a known sleep disorder
  • have a close friend, relative or caregiver who can attend study visits with you
  • are not using any Alzheimer's medication other than donepezil (Aricept®)

Our staff will review additional criteria at the first study visit. The study lasts up to 6 weeks and requires multiple overnight stays at the sleep clinic. If you qualify, you will be compensated for time and travel and receive all study-related office visits, medical examinations, study drug, and meals during extended visits at no cost.
