Type 2 Diabetes
Winthrop University Hospital Clinical Trials Center is conducting a clinical research study for participants who are 35 to 75 years older, who have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes that is treated with at least 1 oral medication and insulin. The purpose of this research study is to compare how well blood glucose levels are controlled with two investigational insulin medications for type 2 Diabetes patients, who are already taking an oral medication but who do not have adequate control. Diabetes is chronic condition in which the body is unable to regulate the amount of sugar in the blood.
Eligible participants will receive study-related medical examinations, research medication and laboratory tests at no cost, while they are participating in this research study. Compensation may be provided for time and travel.
