Cancer: Do You Have Cancer and Problems With Constipation?

Detailed Study Description

Researchers at the University of Kentucky College of Nursing are conducting a research study using acupressure for cancer patients that are having problems with constipation. Acupressure is a therapy that uses fingers to apply pressure on a point on the body.

You are eligible to participate if you:

  • are 18 years of age or older;
  • have the ability to learn and perform acupressure;
  • are able to read and write English; and
  • have cancer.

You cannot participate if you:

  • have acute illnesses such as fever or active infectious disease;
  • are pregnant; and
  • have an abdominal cancer at left lower abdomen.

You will be compensated for your time.
