WCG Launches Seizure eDiary Solution on eCOA Platform
WCG, in partnership with the Epilepsy Study Consortium, has launched a new electronic seizure diary designed to make trial participation less burdensome for patients with epilepsy and other seizure disorders.
Crafted with guidance from WCG’s scientific and neurological experts, the seizure eDiary, which is run on patients’ own devices, is designed to be user-friendly, enabling patients to easily record their seizures, track medications and appointments and receive personalized content about their condition. It also enables principal investigators to see a participant’s seizure counts when they’re not on-site.
“Through this initiative, we’re rethinking how technology can be leveraged to advance how we view seizure disorder syndrome tracking and treatment more broadly,” Terri Moench, president of WCG Research Solutions, said. “In late phase trials, sponsors need to collect large amounts of data directly from study participants. This new eDiary … improves endpoint data quality and reduces study participant burden as participants record their information more quickly and accurately.”
The new seizure eDiary is available through WCG’s electronic clinical outcome assessment (eCOA) platform.
