BMS, Gilead Partner in Clinical Trial Diversity Grant Program
With a $14 million donation, Gilead Sciences has joined Bristol Myers Squibb (BMS) in funding a program to involve physicians and medical students from diverse backgrounds in clinical research.
The Robert A. Winn Diversity in Clinical Trials Award Program, established by BMS in 2020 with a $100 million investment, will award 250 grants over the next five years in two categories: career development of new physician investigators from diverse backgrounds and introduction to clinical research for medical students from underrepresented populations.
Gilead’s contribution will fund an additional 10 awards per year in each category over the next four years.
