Digital Medicine Society to Tackle Technological Barriers in Trials
March 14, 2022
The Digital Medicine Society (DiME) is preparing to launch an initiative that will help design digital trials with technologically challenged participants in mind.
The project, a collaboration with Amgen, GlaxoSmithKline, Medable, THREAD Research and others, will deliver a framework and tools that can be used to incorporate a more diverse perspective in the design of trials that include a device for participation (digital trials). Using these, research teams can design their trials to use technology in a way that is inclusive for all participants, including those who are unfamiliar with technology or struggle to use it.
The collaboration will officially launch in April. Partners are still being considered for inclusion.
