New Collaborative Offers Guidelines for Conducting RCTs, Seeks Comment
The Good Clinical Trials Collaborative (GCTC), a public-private partnership formed to identify best practices for randomized clinical trials (RCT), is seeking public comment on its first draft of RCT guidelines.
GCTC, which was established in June 2020 by Wellcome, the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and the African Academy of Sciences, consulted with more than 100 representatives of industry, academia, government and the nonprofit sector to develop the guidelines, which offer recommendations for data management approaches, trial size, statistical analysis, safety reporting, collaboration with other organizations, use of existing resources and effective trial monitoring.
GCTC will accept comments through Sept. 15.
