ACRO Launches Decentralized Trial Toolkit
The Association of Clinical Research Organizations (ACRO) has released a set of tools to help the development of decentralized clinical trials.
The tools are available on the ACRO website: a template for risk assessment considerations, highly visual data flow maps, a quality-by-design manual and a quick reference guide for the quality-by-design manual.
ACRO’s newly released maps explain the dynamics of data flow, data controls and data traceability within a DCT to show how such trials are able to protect data quality and integrity.
The risk considerations template is designed for use alongside organizations’ current risk assessment tools and provides questions, considerations and potential mitigations for DCT design, while the quality-by-design manual offers guiding principles and risk considerations to keep in mind when building a DCT.
