The UK’s National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) has launched a searchable database of global clinical trials for researchers, clinicians and the public to use. ScanMedicine is free to access and is based at NIHR’s Innovation Observatory, located at Newcastle University.

ScanMedicine draws data from 11 major clinical trial databases around the world, including the U.S. registry ClinicalTrials.gov, and features data on medical devices, diagnostics and digital apps. Clinical trials can be sorted by type, phase, registry and other categories.
